Pura Vida- Living into Values in 2025 (and sharing my Costa Rica Tips!)

After a rough 2024, my family decided to finish the year with a big adventure—and when I say family, I mean 14 of us, ranging in age from 7 to 75!

We opted for a “backpacking light” style of travel that combined nature, animals, adventure, and fun in Costa Rica.

It was pure joy to watch the kids shrieking with delight at lizards and sloths. I couldn’t help but laugh (and cry a lot) when I took a free fall off a Tarzan swing. There I was, tears streaming down my face, while my 7-year-old nephew belted out “Hot To Go” at the top of his lungs

. Moments like these formed core memories across all generations, filling my heart and checking off my values:

 Top Tip: Next time, I’d recommend adding some beach time to relax and choosing either the Cloud Forest (Monteverde) or the Volcano (La Fortuna) to keep the adventure manageable while still exciting.
