Stress isn’t just a feeling — it’s a biological cycle. And it must be completed, not ignored.

As we grind toward year-end (and the whirlwind of Q4 starts to quiet), I’m noticing something in almost every client conversation:

Not full burnout, but flirting with it. Stress is a constant and time feels challenging to manage.

No surprise — between project deadlines, inbox overload, and endless “Buy Now!” everything… our nervous systems are on high alert.

Here’s the thing most of us were never taught:

Stress isn’t just a feeling — it’s a biological cycle. And it must be completed, not ignored.

Emily and Amelia Nagoski call this “completing the stress cycle.”

And no — that doesn’t require running away to a beach with coconuts and fish tacos (although… yes please).

The simplest, most effective strategy?

Move your body. Daily. Especially on stressful days.

It doesn’t have to be a workout or involve gym clothes — just movement that tells your body, “The threat has passed. We’re safe.”

Some of my favourites:

✔️ Dance and sing in your kitchen

✔️ Balloon volleyball with my kids

✔️ Go for a 10-minute walk

If you truly don’t have time try 10 minutes of:

Our body doesn’t understand deadlines, bureaucracy or too many priorities. Our body can still be fighting a stress threat that ended hours ago!

It only understands: stress → respond → release.

Movement is the language your body speaks.

So here’s my question for you: How will you move your stress through today?
